Start Off 2020 Successfully!

As an entrepreneur/solopreneur, you know the drill. You are already looking ahead at the next quarter and maybe worrying if your 1Q 2020 will be strong or not. (More likely, you’ve been worrying about it longer than that!) Let me tell you – you can decide that now.

Some business owners believe they are not going to have a great first quarter for various reasons. The main concern is that traffic to their business may slow down, depending on what kind of services/products they offer. They start scaling back their marketing and advertising, they want to cut anything they do not think is essential. I’m here to tell you – if it makes you more productive and keeps your brand at the top of mind presence, it is worth every dime and then some.

What can you do to make sure your 1Q 2020 is your best ever?

  • Re-evaluate what you offer – can you repackage something and offer it to your clients from a new perspective? This can drive revenue and help get your creative business juices flowing without having to invest a lot of time or money in building something new.

  • Use this time to refresh your website and social media pages. Make sure all of your links are up to date and that you don’t have any old offers left over from the previous year. This shows that you keep your virtual space as clean and organized as your physical space!

  • Set some business goals for yourself. Tell yourself you will make new contacts, attend new meetings, follow new influencers. Keep yourself changing and evolving!

  • Create a new offer exclusively for your loyal clients. This will give them a reward for being a customer and give you a reason to reach out to them in the first quarter and see how you can help them.

  • Many businesses have come to recognize many people get their tax refunds back in the 1Q – what do you offer that your audience/clientele who may be getting a refund back can take advantage of? Plan a way to reach out to those customers so they can be thinking about spending their money with you!

Don’t let your energy or focus drop in 1Q. You can totally set the pace for the rest of the year in these first few months. If you need other ideas or help with how to best evaluate your plan for 2020, feel free to reach out so we can help you start the next decade successfully!
